Today I will be talking🗣about..... The Vikings!!!!!

                                                       THE VIKINGS

The Vikings are from the countries that are : Denmark, Sweden and Norway. 

Those 3 countries make up a place called Scandinavia. The Vikings are Norsemen. 

What did they do? 

The Viking men search and explore new lands to see if they could establish a rule over it. The Vikings also loved raiding other countries like Britain, Ireland and Scotland. The Viking woman👩milk cows🐄 for cheese🧀, sew clothes🎽👕👚 for their families 👪and look after children👦👧. The children did NOT ❌go to school🏫as for their own fathers👨 will teach the boys how to sail boats🚢and fix🧰 them, while the girls👧 learn how to cook🍳 and clean🧹. 

Where did they live?

The Vikings lived in a long narrow house🏡 with only 1 room and a small hole🕳at the roof to let out smoke if they cook food🍲inside. Here is the real fact why it is not at all spacious in the house, the whole extended family lives there!! Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and more!

What did they eat?

The Vikings ate fruits🍎🍌🍇 and vegetables🥦🥒🥕. They kept their animals🦆🐎🐄 for some meat🥩, milk🥛, eggs🥚 and some cheese.🧀 They also ate fish🐟, as for their country is near the sea.

What did they wear? 

Men wore thick shirts (tunics) over their trousers

Women also wore long dresses and a woolen tunic over it with beads and brooches holding it on. 

They would also wear linen undershirts

Clothes made from wool to keep them warm them from their terribly cold weather.

What Viking was famous?

Eric the red, also known as Eric Thorvaldson was the first Viking to find settlement in Greenland. He named it Greenland because he thought it will attract visitors to stay with him and his family. Also, Leif Erikson, Eric's son, was the first person to even set foot on America, 500 years before Christopher Columbus even found America.
