Hey guys! It's me! I'm back with another book review! THE GAUNTLET. Anyways, this book was written by Karuna Riazi. It's her first ever novel! This book is honestly like the movie Jumanji! Lets get started!
The Gauntlet
To be brief, it's Farah Mirza's birthday party. The Mirza's have always thought and believed that board games were amazing and were, well, important in the family. She got presents from lot of her relatives, but the present from her Aunt Zohra was strange. It was an old board game. It kinda made sense because, well, her family is into those stuff but the game was totally different! Curious, she and her friends(Essie and Alex) started to play, a disturbance came in. It was Farah's little brother Ahmad. He wanted to join in too! But, Farah, taking up the responsibility as the older sibling, declined him from joining. Ahmad was furious! Suddenly, the board game start the shake furiously and started to suck all of them! Including Ahmad! As the 3 friends ( Farah, Essie and Alex) landed in not-so-familiar place, they could not find Ahmad anywhere. They had to find him! But they the trio later on found out that the Gauntlet was a game which traps people, specifically children! I mean like, bruh, WHY THE HECK ARE YOU DOING THIS?!!! You're literally asking children to pass life-sized board game! A lady helped them out my giving their necessities before starting their journey. A map, timer and a lucky piece of item. As they passed challenge after challenge, they met HUGE lizards, when I say huge, I mean it. The lizards were a resistance against the gauntlet so them helped Farah by finding Ahmad for her . After the trio won all the challenges, they found out that even if you pass all the challenges, the Gauntlet will still trap you because, the Architect's, the creator, heart is the board game so they can't let anyone leave! But they fought and finally came home, bringing back many people, including Aunt Zohra's friend, Vijay! So, it is pretty good, but I won't exaggerate like I usually do!
Bye guys! See ya later!
