Wednesday - Netflix Series

Elo ppl, hope ya ppl doing good. Today, I'm talking about my now MOST favorite TV series I have ever seen, Wednesday!  Played by Jenna Ortega, this series brought out da best of Wednesday Addams, from The Addams Family. So, here's my review about it!

                         WEDNESDAY

Wednesday is your classic goth, emo girl at school. But kookier. Her parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams, and her brother, Pugsley Addams (honestly reminds me of pugs but u know) are all part of the dark, black and white aesthetic IG filters u might see, but other than dat, Wednesday could do dark things. At first, a bunch of bullies bullied Pugsley by stuffing him in a locker. So, for payback, Wednesday goes up to them and throws piranhas in da pool. Damn, that was sick.

So, she gets expelled, and her parents ship her off to the Nevermore, a school for outcasts, also where her parents studied and met. There, she meets Weems, the principal, Enid Sinclair, her dorm roommate and Miss Thornhill, their dorm mom. Never have I thought that Thornhill would be the villain, but I guess, no spoilers. Enid soon introduces the groups of people in da school, The Fangs (vampires), The Furs (werewolves), The Stoners (gorgons) and The Scales (sirens - led by Bianca, the classic popular girl).

Right next to Nevermore, there's a town called Jericho, where Wednesday would take her therapy sessions. So while she was at one session, she escaped through the window and went to Weathervane, a local coffee shop to get a coffee and get a ride. Thats where she meets Tyler, son of the towns Sheriff.

But before all that, a statue almost falls on her at school, if this boy hadn't saved her. His name was Xavier, someone Wednesday knew from when they were around 10. Fast forward to the Harvest festival, Wednesday bumps into a boy, Rowan, get a vision that he gets attacked, follows him, sees dis random monster attack him right after he told her that she was meant to destroy the school. Great life. Afterwards, Rowan appears at school after presumed dead and get expelled. But it was actually Weems who shapeshifted into Rowan, just to save the school's and her reputation. People these days.

Soon, Wednesday finds out that her dad murdered someone called Garett Gates which at the end was a lie. Her mom accidentally stabs him, her dad covers, but the fact is that Garett was already dying because of nightshade poisoning, but either way Gomez goes to jail.  Wednesday and her mom go grave-digging, which also gets them in jail. Later, they get out and her parents leave.

Later on, they have a Rave'N dance where Wednesday had iconic dance moves and is also where Xavier talks to Wednesday about what Tyler did to him and that she should watch out. BTW Wednesday went with Tyler instead of Xavier because after she asked Xavier, he found out that she only asked him because she thought he was the monster. After all that, she meets her Uncle Fester who helps her find a diary which might help them identify what kind of monster it is. It was called a Hyde. Hydes always have a so-called master who controls them so that was kind of freaky.

Finally, they find out that not all of the Gates family had died. Laurel Gates was still alive. And in was Miss Thornhill. Miss Thornhill was Laurel Gates. And shockingly, Tyler was the Hyde and Miss Thornhill was his master. Miss Thornhill needed a blood from a person from the Addams Family to wake up Joseph Crackstone, a person who wanted to get rid of outcasts for good.

So after all fights and all, Tyler gets taken by the police and Joseph Crackstone dies, again. Xavier gifts Wednesday a new phone. While she's in the car going back home, she gets a text. Its a stalker who talks pics of her and said, IM WATCHING YOU. Great way to end this season. Cant wait for Season 2!

Peace out my ppl!
